Team DSA's Encore II

Soph-Ware® Associates, a multiple-SBIR recipient, provides open-architecture information assurance (IA) software, project management, and support services to major DoD providers and the U.S. Air Force. Its ENCORE II objectives are to simplify NCES information management and to reduce its cost of ownership. With patented XpressRules™ technology, owners and stewards themselves manage their assets and processes with policies rather than with esoteric computer and database code. An authorized officer can therefore deploy a field-level modification immediately, with never a trip “back to the IT shop.” XpressRules™ controls this ease of deployment rigorously by (1) guaranteeing error-free auto-redacted code and (2) exposing every auto-generated policy in clearly readable form for independent human review and certification before its actual deployment. This technology is currently deployed at technical readiness level (TRL) 7.
