Working With Technology Naturally
The weakest part of a brilliant technology is most frequently the point at which humans interact with the technology. We've worked hard to understand people and the ways they see our programs.
Near Natural Language is one manifestation of that philosophy. It's still structured and easily readable by our applications. But it's also crafted so that nearly anyone can sit down and see the intent of what has been written. We've carefully tried to avoid the strange punctuation, line breaks, and unusual key words that often typify computer communication. This results in lower training requirements. It also promises decreased complexity, thus reducing error-prone user activity.
In addition to that technology, we think seriously about how people will really interact with our programs. We've "trimmed the fat" in our interfaces, removing extra menus, extra steps, and things that simply get in the way. The end result is an experince that makes you feel comfortable and ready to explore, learn, and master our applications.
