XpressRules™
XpressRules is an advanced rules-based solution to the problem of sharing content across security domains. A variety of so-called "guard" products exist to automate cross-domain sharing. But a guard typically requires a person in the loop, and changing the behavior of a guard typically requires skilled and time-consuming reprogramming. Within military coalitions and among intelligence organizations such delays are unacceptable. XpressRules allows a policy officer with no programming background to create and modify role-based access rules and cross-domain transformations (sanitization).
XpressRules compilers quickly translate the policy officer’s point-and-click selections to Extensible Access Control Markup Language (XACML) and Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations (XSLT). At run-time XpressRules creates a customized XSLT transform to match the clearance level of the viewer. XpressRules therefore exploits XML technologies in order to provide reliable unmediated cross-domain content filtering.
XpressRules compilers offer “Intention Assurance,” enabling the unmediated system to generate code—XACML and XSLT—that is certifiably correct. The commercial market for XpressRules includes any organization that seeks to share content and media of any variety in a secure and policy-based manner.
